pH is an indicator of the acid-base balance of water essential to the health of fish. The ideal value is between 6.5 and 8.5. K.H.
Carbonate hardness ensures pH stability. The recommended value is generally between 3° and 10° dH. GH
Total hardness has a direct influence on the health of fish, plants and microorganisms. The ideal value is between 6° and 16° dH.
NO2: a nitrite content close to zero is a sign that the filter is doing its job well and that the water is safe for fish.
NO3: the nitrate content indicates the degree of “freshness” of the water and thus the probability of seeing algae develop.
Cl2: indicates the chlorine content of the water.
Good water quality is absolutely vital for plants and fish. However, it is impossible to verify with the naked eye.
This is why, for the well-being of your fish, it is advisable to check it every 2-3 days for new aquariums and every week for aquariums that have already been stabilized.
